Sebastián received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (2024) from the University of Costa Rica (UCR) and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science (2025) from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, where he is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.

His research interests include process control, automatic control systems and control/optimization applications in renewable energy systems and energy communities.
